The IDC Terminal Services (TS) team is looking for strong developers (60-62) for TS Hosted Services initiative which is being completely driven out of IDC. The main responsibilities include working with a team of highly motivated individuals in emerging technologies. You are expected to design and implement server quality code for different modules in App Platform or Manageability. The solutions should be highly scalable and easily deployable.
We are among the most important role in Windows Server family, already making several million dollars per annum and well poised to make several hundred millions more in coming few years.
This is an area of total ownership with good visibility high business impact to the Terminal Services team.
Requirement
If you are good at problem solving and like to spend long hours coding, quick proto-typing, teasing the testers to find holes in your code, thinking about your algo and code over coffee/pizza you belong to our family.
Desired Profile:
If you can code in C/C++/C# and/or like to work in drivers or our very own RDP protocol, then you will enjoy the work in TS tremendously.
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle model and a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Sciences or related field is what we expect.

Primary ( Essential ) Technical Skills
Strong C# programming / SQLscripting skills
Strong in SDLC and Test Methodologies
Demonstrated skills in building automated test frameworks / automated test scripts using languages like C# ( Visual studio knowledge is advantageous)
Significant experience in leading small to medium test team
Experience in developing and maintaining test scripts, including functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and stress testing
Good exposure in test estimation, risk analysis and management
Exposure to build , maintain test environments
Experience in manual test execution and automated testing when applicable, working with customers to verify product functionality and validate acceptance
Experience in test case / test script walkthroughs
Experience in tracking Bug Reports using Bug tracking Tools
Good knowledge of SQL and UI testing tools
Sound knowledge on SQL language /server and RDBMS concepts.
Desirable Technical Skills
Experience in using automation tools, such as Win Runner, Load Runner, and Test Director
Basic quality and risk quantification & management skills
Basic project management skills
Broad expertise in areas of Windows client/server development environment, usability practices, Windows UI, design standards and solid software quality assurance practices
Familiarity with TSP/PSP process will be a advantageous
