PURPOSE: The purpose of the position is to support the B& E/HSSL/School programmer in preparing and dispatching important documents, preparing reports based on available data, maintaining files, sending royalty statements to authors. In general, ensuring the clerical issues of the department are up to date.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Preparing and maintaining author files, sending letters and important documents, preparing important reports in the prescribed format.
-Should have good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and able to create reports etc
-Interacting with admin and accounts to sort out minor issues
-Updating author-information, answering simple queries from author.
OTHER REQUIRED ACCOUNTABILITIES: Should provide support to copyeditors and production team with timely dispatch of proofs, handle simple author queries and also interact with admin and accounts to sort out minor issues.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Graduate. Should have good working knowledge of English language, should be comfortable with computer applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint and also familiar with the basics of e-mail communication. A little knowledge of the publishing industry would be an added advantage.
